School Fundraising Program
 
The Staten Island Yankees have a very special relationship with both public and private schools in New York and New Jersey. We have teamed up with schools to raise money for books, supplies and any other tools each school needs to continuing educating our young fans. There were 68 schools participating in our fundraiser program in 2005, which raised a total of $60,134.75 for schools throughout the area. The Staten Island Yankees took Scooter the Holy Cow to participating schools and encouraged them to raise money for their own school through an assembly program, including games and songs. We have great prizes for participating in this program, which includes throwing out a ceremonial first pitch, public address announcer and batboy or girl. The top seller prizes for the program consist of a limo ride to a New York Yankee Boston Red Sox’s game at Yankee Stadium, and over night trip to Baltimore, Maryland to see the New York Yankees on the road. The top prize was a trip for two to Spring Training 2006 to meet members of the New York Yankees!
